Meredith Hotard, Concert Chorus Director

Meredith Hotard has directed choral ensembles of singers ranging in age from 6 to 18 for the past seventeen years.  She earned both her Bachelor of Music Therapy and Master of Music Education from Loyola University New Orleans.  She has had singers participate in honor choirs at the state and national level, and her ensembles have received superior ratings at multiple festivals.  She has also presented at the Louisiana state conference of the American Choral Directors’ Association on the topic of working with singers with changing voices in middle and high school and currently serves as the state repertoire chair for community children’s choirs.  Meredith currently directs middle and upper school singers at Metairie Park Country Day School.  She strives to create a healthy community within her ensembles, where singers are confident in their musical skills and have a voice in musical interpretation.  Meredith also enjoys performing in local community theater and choral groups.
